WELCOME TO DAISY CHAIN THERAPY
At Daisy Chain Child Therapy, we understand that children are not always developmentally ready to put their feelings into words. Instead, they communicate through their behaviour and, most naturally, through play.

In play therapy, children are given the space to “play out” their everyday challenges, worries about the future, and past experiences. This isn’t just imaginative—it’s how their brains are designed to work. Play activates areas of the brain responsible for emotional regulation, problem-solving, and social connection, allowing children to safely explore and express what they may not yet be able to say.
Research in neuroscience shows that play supports the development of pathways linked to creativity, emotional processing, and memory. Through this process, children can begin to make sense of their experiences and build resilience in a way that fits their stage of development.
Within a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship, children are free to express their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Through play—their natural language—they can explore their inner world, develop new coping strategies, and practice skills that support their growth and wellbeing.
